Paul Soskey, PhD

Vice President, Scientific Affairs

Dr. Soskey has more than 25 years of diversified science and technology focused leadership in product R&D and innovation management with multinational medical device/diagnostics and chemical companies.

Prior to joining Svelte in 2011, Dr. Soskey was an executive consultant at MedNest with focus on drug delivery, medical device/diagnostic and healthcare IT convergence.  He also served as Director of Advanced Technology at BD Diagnostics where he sourced and developed next-generation strategic global product platforms for in vitro diagnostic blood collection devices.  Dr. Soskey has previous experience in the chemical industry (EniChem, Exxon Chemical, Union Carbide) where he leveraged his R&D expertise in polymeric materials and processing techniques.  He has over 30 patents and publications and has participated on several industry-university research consortia management boards.

Dr. Soskey holds a PhD and MS in Polymer Science & Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a BSChE from the University of Dayton.
