Jack Darby

President and CEO

Mr. Darby has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, most of those in the interventional cardiovascular space.

Before joining Svelte in 2012 as President and CEO, Mr. Darby was the business unit head of Bayer Interventional.  Prior to his work at Bayer, he was Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AGA Medical, where his contributions helped lead to a successful IPO and subsequent acquisition of the company by St. Jude Medical.  Previous to AGA, Mr. Darby held a series of roles with increasing responsibility at Cordis Cardiology, then a division of Johnson & Johnson, including Vice President of Commercial Operations and Global Stent Marketing, Executive Director of US Sales, Director of Cordis Marketing Japan (based in Tokyo) and Product Manager of Coronary Stents.

Prior to his business career Mr. Darby was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.  He holds a BA from the University of Michigan and completed additional course work in finance and marketing at Stanford University and the University of Michigan.
